What is the Infra-Red Sauna?
The Infra-Red Sauna is an excellent way to get rid of toxic chemicals including pesticides, heavy metals and hydrocarbon residues. The Far infrared sauna is safe and more tolerable, because it uses a heat energy that penetrates tissues, triggering mobilization of chemicals from subcutaneous fat storage, directly into the sweat. This activating penetration allows for a much lower overall temperature to be used.
Over weeks and months there is an equilibration, where chemicals that were stored in organs slowly and safely disseminate throughout the body and eventually empty into subcutaneous fat. It is the chemical load that is stored beneath the skin that is the main area activated by the far infrared sauna. There are many benefits to using Infra-red sauna technology including:
Detoxification through sweating is one of the body's most natural ways to eliminate toxins, making it a crucial part of our detoxification process. When compared to traditional Swedish saunas, infrared saunas allow you to eliminate about seven times more toxins.
Dilation of blood vessels and opening of skin pores. The dilation of blood vessels helps in improving blood circulation and promotes elimination of toxins. Cells can also better receive and absorb nutrition.
With regular sessions in the infra-red sauna, muscle and skin elasticity improves, wrinkles are prevented and the skin becomes more lustrous.
Far infrared energy supports cellulite elimination, as profuse sweating and cellular activation together clear away this unwanted form of debris from the body.
Far infrared energy promotes healing of acne, eczema, psoriasis, burns, skin lesions and cuts. Open wounds heal more rapidly with reduced scarring.
Discharge of lactic acid through profuse sweating helps relax muscles. Lactic acid is one of the causes of fatigue and aging of tissues. A 20 to 30 minute session in the far infra-red sauna delivers benefits of regular physical exercise without production of lactic acid and additionally rids the tissues of lactic acid accumulation in the body. Accumulation of lactic acid over time may result in chronic fatigue.
Far infra-red energy can play a pivotal role in both weight control and cardiovascular conditioning The heat generated by an infrared sauna will cause your core temperature to increase which can also lead to an increased heart rate - the same increase in heart rate that you experience when exercising. When your body has to work harder to lower your core temperature or keep up with an increased heart rate, your body will burn more calories, resulting in weight loss.
An article, titled Effect of Sweating, in the Journal of the American Medical Association concluded that a 30-minute infrared sauna session could burn roughly 600 calories. This can be very valuable for those who don't exercise enough and for those who can't exercise yet want an effective weight control and fitness maintenance program which provides the caloric burn, detoxification, metabolic improvement, and especially the energetic body fluid activation benefits of regular exercise.
